The Malls
If you've never been to Cancun you might be surprised that the shopping is actually quite good. Silver jewelry and T-shirts are especially inexpensive in the Malls of Cancun. Men's rings typically cost from $8 to 12 US dollars.
La Isla
There is a gorgeous outdoor mall called
La Isla which features a palm tree lined canal, stone bridges and canopy
covered walkways. If it sounds wonderful that's because it is.
It doesn't matter if you are with the kids, a group of friends or just a
couple there are shops for all of you. If you really want
to go ultra romantic you can take a gondola ride on the canal. If
you are with kids the aquarium or one of the many fountains will be more
appealing. As
far as shops go, La Isla has a great variety of commonly recognized
shops including, Nike, Gucci, Warner Bros, Tommy Hilfiger, Guess and
Senor Frog's.
La Isla Shopping Village has an internet cafe, Chili's, Haagen Dazs and
more. This is the newest and best mall to visit. Great
atmosphere and it's right in the hotel zone.
Flea Markets
I've visited the flea markets because I was told that you could find a deal there. Unfortunately that wasn't true. After 15 minutes of haggling I got a dealer to match the price I saw at one of the nice malls. So unless you're looking for something that you cannot find in one of the better malls, don't visit the flea markets.
